Underwater Photography at Isla San Pedro Nolasco, Sea of Cortez

  *  The above habitat was near the top of a shallow wall on eastern Isla San Pedro Nolasco,  There was considerable water motion, and we and the nudibranchs were continually tossed about.  This Nudibranch, the Mexican Dancer (Elysia diomedea,) formerly known as   (Tridachiella diomedea,) was located in an invertebrate-rich habitat.  Visible are yellow Sponges, brown, purple and white Crustose Coralline Algae, a dark navy blue algae, and a purple Coralline algae.  We were unable to identify  either the alga or the sponges.
