*The Echinopsis (Trichocereus) x 'Cherry Red', was hybridized by Dr. Mark Dimmitt of Tucson, Arizona.
This and other striking shades of red, we understand, are a specialty of Dr. Dimmitt. The flowers open nocturnally, or in the early morning, and persist for two days.
