The color ofthe Red Cup Sponge stands out in an area well supplied with interesting marine invertebrates - Jackson Bay, Little Cayman Island

The Caribbean Pink Vase sponge (Dasychalina cyathina) here little resembles a vase.  In Jackson Bay, the predominate flow of the current sometimes gives rise to this "open" form. Cockscomb Oyster covered with Red Encrusting Sponge, at the base of a tubular Demosponge,  probably a species of Verongia - Bloody Bay Wall, Little Cayman Island A delicately colored, rose-pink Dumpling Sponge (Xestospongia muta,) deep off the Bloody Bay Wall, Little Cayman Island. A large deep-water Xestosponge on an exposed wall  - Bloody BayWall , Little Cayman Island.
